Scattolino Joins CertiPUR-US Board

Vince Scattolino of Sinomax Joins CertiPUR-US® Program Board of Directors

(Rochester Hills, Mich., November 29, 2017) – Vince Scattolino, Vice President of Product Development and Innovation at Sinomax, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam, the not-for-profit organization that administers the CertiPUR-US® foam certification program.

Scattolino has been involved with the polyurethane and bedding industries for nearly 25 years. After first working in product development for the Scott Paper Company, he moved to ARCO Chemical and then FXI (formerly Foamex) where he was director of national accounts, including Sealy and other major bedding companies. Scattolino also served as senior vice president of product development, commercialization and innovation for Sleep Innovations. In returning to FXI for a second term, Scattolino was responsible for building the company’s consumer products business. Most recently, he joined Sinomax, a long-time producer of CertiPUR-US® certified foams, and one of the first companies to offer certified molded foam.

Certified foams meet program standards for content, emissions and durability based on the Technical Guidelines, a living document that is updated regularly based on current government regulations, and information developed by science-driven chemical and environmental groups.
