Wanhua PO Update

PUdaily, Shanghai-Wanhua Chemical has recently succeeded in conducting trial operating at propylene oxide/methyl tert-butyl ether (PO/MTBE) facilities in Yantai, Shandong province after 26 months construction starting from Sept. 2012 to Nov. 2014.

The production line with capacity of 240,000 tons/year for PO and 780,000 tons/year MTBE is part of Wanhua Chemical PO/acrylic ester (PO/AE) integrated project and it employs technology from Huntsman which is also building PO/MTBE in Nanjing cooperated with Sinopec.

Wanhua Chemical PO/MTBE facilities live up to the expectations with regular operation and qualified products.

Wanhua Chemical is the largest MDI manufacturer in the world in terms of capacity and it runs MDI facilities in Yantai, Shandong province and Ningbo, Zhejiang province. Wanhua Rongwei, a subsidiary of Wanhua Chemical, runs 110,000 tons/year polyether polyols plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.
