Wanhua Trial Run on New PO Unit

PUdaily, Shanghai-Wanhua Chemical plans to complete pilot run from end June to early July at its newly-built propylene oxide facilities in Yantai, Shandong province, as reported by Chinese local news; the plant has capacity of 240,000 tons/year employing method of PO/Mtbe from Huntsman.

Besides, company source confirmed that it will try getting through all facilities but it depends when it ramps up to full operating.

In addition, Wanhua Chemical also builds 300,000 tons/year polyether polyols plant at the site.

Wanhua Chemical is the largest MDI manufacturer in the world and it runs MDI facilities in Yantai, Shandong province and Ningbo, Zhejiang province.
