Accella Rebrands Tire Fill Lines

March 15, 2016

Accella changes names of tire fill brands

Accella Performance Materials has rebranded two of its tire fill brands — ArncoPathway and Zeus Tyre Fill — as Accella Tire Fill Systems.

The name change is part of an initiative that began late last year when Maryland Heights-based Accella, one of St. Louis’ largest privately held companies, announced it would rename its business units to one of two names — Accella Tire Fill Systems and Accella Polyurethane Systems.

The new names, Accella officials said, better reflect the company’s overall strategy.

Companies that changed their name to Accella Polyurethane Systems in January included IPS Polymer Systems, MarChem, Arnco Performance Polymers, Premium Spray Products and Burtin Polymer Laboratories.

“Our new name reflects the global presence, product performance and safety record of ArncoPathway and Zeus Tyre Fill, but also leverages the polyurethane systems heritage and extensive technical support network offered by Accella Performance Materials,” Andy Harris, president and CEO of Accella Performance Materials, said in a statement.

Accella, which had 2014 revenue of $260 million, is owned by Arsenal Capital Management of New York and members of management, including Harris. It had about 465 employees as of May 2015, including 35 locally.

The company, formerly called Dash Multi-Corp., was one of the fastest growing in the St. Louis region between 2011 and 2014, growing revenue 143 percent.
