BASF Announces Freight Surcharge

Dear Valued Customer,

Dynamic changes in the transportation industry are presenting BASF with considerable challenges in
meeting growing demand in the chemical market. Severe driver shortages, tight carrier capacities, and
new federal regulations are impacting the ability to secure adequate transportation for product delivery.
BASF is urgently working with our supply chain partners to manage these concerns but is incurring
significant additional costs in an attempt to minimize the impact to customers.

In response, effective June 15, 2018, BASF will implement a $0.02/lb freight surcharge for all bulk
and packaged truck deliveries within the United States and Canada.
