Subject: Force Majeure

Dear Valued Customer:

From January 14-18, 2018, the Geismar, LA area experienced extended periods of severe weather and
freezing temperatures. As a result, plant operations at our Geismar, LA manufacturing site have been
impacted due to freeze damage. Additionally, our air gas suppliers have experienced significant operational
disruption which has negatively impacted our ability to secure raw materials required to resume normal
operations. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we must declare force majeure as of the date of this
letter on TDI and TDI containing blends.

We are actively working with our raw material supply partners and are taking the necessary steps at our
site to prepare the plant for normal operations. Your BASF account manager will be in contact with you to
discuss the status of current and future orders. We appreciate your patience during this difficult period and
will keep you informed of changes in this situation as it progresses.
