“We (Huawei) are very pleased to sign the strategic cooperation agreement with Wanhua BorsodChem, one of the largest chemical companies operating in Hungary and we believe this will be an important milestone for both companies in our development in Hungary” Mr. Zheng Weifeng said in his speech. He also mentioned that based on BorosdChem’s business demands, Huawei will apply open technical framework and provide innovated, diversified and advanced products and solutions, facilitating the speed of BorsodChem towards intelligent manufacturing and put momentum into business development for both companies.
Mr. Ding Jiansheng voiced “Wanhua BorsodChem is a company focusing on manufacturing of high-end chemical materials and ranks among the top 5 of Hungary’s manufacturing industry. Today, with the witness of guests and friends from Chinese and Hungarian governments and other business circles, we will sign this strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei Technologies. Through cooperation, we will set up our European Informatization Center in Hungary, deepen and upgrade the level of our intelligent production and finally realize industry 4.0 (or the fourth industrial revolution) in our company. We have every reason to believe that with full support from Huawei Technologies, we will be successful in building up an intelligent manufacturing base with relative competitive advantages in Europe. This cooperation is one between two of the strongest enterprises in Hungary who will promote each other’s development and make a win-win situation. ”
Wanhua-BorsodChem and Huawei Technologies in Hungary are the two biggest Chinese investors in Hungary and jointly the two enterprises is offering around 5000 working positions; and they both representing the most advanced technologies in their own area. Under the agreement, BorsodChem and Huawei Technologies will conduct deep cooperation in ICT (Information and communications technology) area in the next few years including cooperation in setting up big-data center and cloud-based technology and network for machine-to-machine communication.
Furthermore, under the framework of the signed agreement, the two companies expresses their willingness to apply more local workforce and suppliers in order to support the economic development on domestic and regional levels.
Ms. Chen Xiaojun and Mr. Péter Szijjártó as highly distinguished participants of the event both commented highly on Sino-Hungarian relationship and cooperation and also gave high recognition to the joint development of Wanhua BorsodChem and Huawei Technologies in their speeches.
