Chemtura Comments on Q2

August 6, 2015

Chemtura

The decline in second quarter of 2015 net sales compared with the prior year is primarily the result of lower selling prices and reduced customer demand for certain petroleum additive products coupled with the timing of customer orders and unfavorable changes in product mix within our urethanes business.

Net sales decreased in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the prior year predominately due to unfavorable foreign currency translation and volume declines across many of our Great Lakes Solutions ("GLS") products, especially sales of furniture foam flame retardants and elemental bromine, the latter being impacted by the lack of supply from our third vendor due to a strike.
