Covestro Stops TDI Production Early

PUdaily, Shanghai-Covestro, former Bayer MaterialScience, has discontinued TDI production in Brunsbüttel in early September 2015, according to official website, leaving Dormagen as the company’s sole production center for TDI in Europe. Meanwhile, the company said that they have a plan to expand MDI capacity as necessary in response to market demand with more details unavailable. Currently, Covestro operates a 160 kt/year MDI plant in Brunsbüttel.
