Law360, New York (March 10, 2015, 3:07 PM ET) — Dow Chemical Co. on Monday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court decision affirming a $1.06 billion judgment in a customer class action accusing the company of fixing prices on polyurethanes, arguing the case was unsuitable for class treatment.
Dow was the only company still fighting conspiracy claims when a Kansas federal jury in 2013 awarded $400 million to a class of purchasers in multidistrict litigation who bought urethane from the defendants. The company was ordered to pay $1.06 billion after a judge…
