Force Majeure Notices are Stacking Up

Dear Valued Customer:

From February 14-16, 2021, Louisiana and Texas including the Geismar, LA area experienced extended periods of severe weather and freezing temperatures. Plant operations at our Geismar manufacturing site
have been impacted due to significant interruptions to critical raw materials with subsequent freeze damage to the BASF facilities. As a result, BASF is declaring force majeure on MDI, TDI, MDI/TDI-containing blends, and all Polyol products effective immediately.

We are actively working to assess the full impact and are taking the necessary steps at our site to return the plant to normal operations. Your BASF account manager will be in contact with you to discuss the
status of current and future orders. We appreciate your patience during this challenging period and will keep you informed as the situation progresses.
