Foam-maker FXI to expand in Mississippi, adding 60 workers
BALDWYN, Miss. - Foam-maker FXI says it will invest $700,000 to expand is Baldwyn factory, adding at least 60 employees to the current 60.
The company, based in Media, Pennsylvania, said Monday it has won new health care business and will add automated equipment inside the existing company-owned building to increase production.
The Mississippi Development Authority contributed a $35,000 grant to help expand FXI's storage and staging area, while Baldwyn and Prentiss County will split a $3,500 match. The city and county also anticipate granting more than $100,000 in property tax breaks over the next 10 years.
MDA did not release wage levels for the new jobs.
FXI lists 20 other locations in the United States and Mexico. Its foam is used widely, including in furniture, bedding, electronics, automobiles, industries and personal care.
