Auto sales set an all-time May record in May 2015, with the seasonally adjusted sales rate rising to 17.78 million, up from both last month and May of last year. A continued focus on trucks and SUVs were mostly to thank for these strong results, and GM, Chrysler, and Honda all posted year-over-year increases. Meanwhile, Ford, Toyota, and Nissan were all down less than 2 percent over May 2014, a month with one extra selling day compared with May 2015.
