Elite Comfort Solutions LLC, formerly Elite Foam, announced Tuesday that its board of directors has selected Chris Chrisafides as its chief executive officer.

The company, which specializes in specialty foam manufacturing and fabrication processes for the bedding industry, is headquartered in Newnan on Sprayberry Road and has two additional locations on Herring Road and N. Christopher Court.

The company was recognized last year by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce for adding 150 jobs locally.

“Elite Comfort Solutions is recognized as a leader in the specialty foam market,” Greg Wright, Coweta County Development Authority president said in an email statement. “Since its early days as Elite Foam, the company has continued to grow and prosper in Coweta County, providing valuable jobs to area residents and offering top quality products to its customers. We are fortunate to have the company headquartered locally, and we look forward to working with Mr. Chrisafides in his new role as the company’s CEO.”

Carole Ann Fields, Goodwill district manager of career services, said, “Goodwill has worked with them in the past and looks forward to working with them to fill employment opportunities in the future.”

Chrisafides most recently led Dow Chemical’s North American $1 billion-plus polyurethane division as the commercial vice president. Prior to that, he served in a variety of senior leadership roles, including general manager and global business development director at Rohm & Haas.

“Chris brings a unique background of deep industry knowledge, strong operational leadership and strategic growth experience which will continue to position ECS to be the market leader in the specialty bedding and home furnishings markets,” said Tim Zappala, Elite Comfort Solutions chairman and partner at Arsenal Capital Partners in a press release. “We are delighted to welcome him to the Elite Comfort Solutions team.”

Elite Comfort Solutions was formed in 2016 by Arsenal Capital Partners. Elite Comfort Solutions has a national network of 12 production facilities and over 800 employees throughout the U.S.

Chrisafides succeeds Dino Rossi who served as interim CEO and will now move into a board advisory role.
