PFA Begins Executive Search Process

Polyurethane Foam Association Seeking Applications For Executive Director/Associate Director

Recruitment In Anticipation of Current Director’s Retirement in 2018

 

LOUDON, TN (January 17, 2017)—The Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA) has begun the search for a future Executive Director, in anticipation of the current Director’s retirement at the end of 2018.

 

As part of the transition process, PFA has created a new position of Associate Director, which is available immediately with the expectation that the individual would become Executive Director upon retirement in 2018 of the current Executive Director.

 

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume by February 15, 2017. Potential Executive Director candidates ideally will be available in mid-2017 to begin transition work.

 

The Associate Director will assist the current Executive Director and be responsible for membership development; will participate in advocacy and promotional activities; and will assist management of member support programs and association meetings.  The position requires five-plus years of flexible polyurethane foam industry-related management/advocacy/promotion experience or equivalent in a related industry.

The Polyurethane Foam Association is a trade association founded in 1980 to educate

customers and other groups about flexible polyurethane foam (FPF). This includes providing facts on environmental, health and safety issues and technical information on the performance of FPF in consumer and industrial products. FPF is used as a key comfort component in most upholstered furniture and mattress products, along with automotive seating, carpet cushion, packaging, and numerous other applications.
