Charlotte, North Carolina – John Televantos of Arsenal Capital Partners was today inducted into the UTECH Hall of Fame. He is only the second person to be awarded the honour.

Inducting Televantos into the Hall, Simon Robinson, editor, Urethanes Technology International, said: ‘John first really caught my attention at Arsenal Capital Partners with a particularly impressive feat. In 2013, his company bought both Arnco and Pathway Polymers on consecutive days.

‘John is a visionary, as I’m sure you will agree after you hear his keynote at our conference this morning. He has the ability to put together combinations of companies and turn them into compelling business propositions.’

This combination of strengths and many years’ experience in the polyurethanes business on the raw materials, processing and venture capital sides of the industry persuaded the panel that Televantos should be offered a place in the UTECH Hall of Fame.

Televantos said: ‘It gives me great pleasure to accept this induction into the UTECH Hall of Fame. It is an honour to join Patrick Thomas in what, I am sure, will be an illustrious group of polyurethane industry professionals from around the globe.’

Televantos is the first business person in North America to be inducted into the UTECH Hall of fame. He follows hot on the heels of Patrick Thomas, who was inducted at UTECH Europe in May this year. At the time, Thomas was CEO of Covestro.

UTECH North America is being held in Charlotte, North Carolina from 11-13 September.
