Wanhua Chemical has set up R&D centers, manufacturing bases and business centers in Yantai, Ningbo, Beijing, Zhuhai, Chengdu and Shanghai in China

Marketed under the brand name "Wannate"

The new plant is located in Wanhua’s ten square mile Yantai Industrial Park. With the latest phosgene production technology, a fully integrated supply chain as well as superior operation management, the new state of the art plant will put Wanhua in a very competitive situation. Wanhua will market the IPDI monomer under the brand name "Wannate".

Polyurethane dispersions are major applications

IPDI is a cycloaliphatic diisocyanate. Due to its primary and secondary isocyanate groups, it allows controlled polyaddition with polyol coreactants, which provides the possibility to design molecular structures for specific materials. Major applications of IPDI are waterborne polyurethane dispersions, adhesives and UV resins. The IPDI trimer can be used in non-yellowing, high performance PU coatings for various applications such as automotive refinish.
