Mattress retailers adapting in COVID-19 world

HIGH POINT – As mattress stores around the country reopen, retailers are facing a new reality imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the retailers navigating the new landscape for brick-and-mortar stores is Harry Roberts, one of the founders of Mattress Firm, who is now a Mattress Firm franchisee.

In the next Bedding Conference webinar on June 2, Roberts will talk with Furniture Today Bedding Editor David Perry about how he’s approaching the new retail climate and what he thinks bedding retailers must do to achieve success in the weeks and months to come.

He will also talk about his key takeaways from the recent Memorial Day sales, the traditional kickoff of the key summer mattress selling season.

Roberts says the industry has a key advantage – it is selling a product that consumers need – and he brings a can-do attitude to his leadership portfolio. He will share lessons he’s learned in his decades of work in the mattress industry.

The webinar will air live at 2 p.m. on June 2. Attendees can submit questions for Roberts during the session. To register, click here.
